A show request carries the block the instance that asked was opened on, so a
link followed inside an editor moves that tab through its history the way it
did before the window moved into a plugin, and only a block reached from
somewhere else - the file tree, the More menu, a picker - opens a tab of its
own. Unlinking a shared block replaces it in the tab it was unlinked from for
the same reason.
