Milestones#

A milestone groups issues and pull requests toward a shared target, such as a release, and tracks how many are done. Open Milestones from the issue list, or Manage milestones from the milestone picker.

Create a milestone#

Choose New milestone and enter a title, an optional due date and an optional description.

Track progress#

Each milestone shows its due date (Past due in red while it is still open), the start of its description, a progress bar, and open and closed counts for its issues and pull requests. View issues opens the issue list filtered to that milestone. Use the tabs to switch between open and closed milestones.

Assign issues and pull requests#

Use the Milestone picker in the sidebar, or cafe issue milestone <number> <milestone> and cafe pr milestone <number> <milestone>.

Close, edit or delete a milestone#

Edit the title, due date or description in place, and close or reopen a milestone when its work is done. Deleting a milestone asks for confirmation; its issues and pull requests stay, without a milestone.
